Dubai Frame

The frame was inaugurated in January 2018 and is designed by architect Fernando Donis. Zabeel Park is home to one of the most remarkable sites in Dubai, the “Dubai Frame”. According to Donis, Dubai was a city full of emblems and instead of adding one more, he suggested framing them all with a frame (“The Frame”). In the emptiness of the 150 meter high frame, as a viewer, you can continuously visualize the development of Dubai past, present and future.

The frame is made of steel, concrete, aluminium and glass and is positioned in such a way that on one side of the frame you can see precisely the characteristic monuments of modern Dubai, such as Burj Khalifa, and on the other side precisely the ancient elements of Dubai. The building is seen as a metaphorical bridge between the present and the rich past. You can take an elevator to the top of the Sky Deck, where you will have a magnificent panoramic view and walk partly on a glass floor. In addition, your entrance ticket includes some exhibitions such as the “Future Dubai Gallery”, the “Old Dubai Gallery” and the “Present Dubai”, so that you can learn more about the history and evolution of Dubai.
