Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi

Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is the theme park inspired by the red car of Maranello, which is located right next to the Formula 1 circuit.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is a theme park located on Yas Island, an artificial island built near the heart of the city. It is the first and only Ferrari-themed theme park in the world. It is also the largest indoor theme park in the world, with an area of 86,000 square meters. Construction of Ferrari World began in 2007 and the park officially opened to the public in November 2010, immediately meeting with huge success, culminating in its nomination as the best tourist attraction in the Middle East received at the World Travel Awards 2015.

The Ferrari World Project

The most distinctive feature of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is undoubtedly its roof. It has an area of 200,000 square meters and the aluminum used to build it could cover 16,750 Ferraris; to give the proportions of the structure, if the roof were placed high, it would be the tallest building in the world, with more than 300 floors. On the roof stands out the Ferrari logo, the largest ever created, which is 65 meters long and covers an area of 3000 square meters, like 7 basketball courts placed side by side. Inside Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, everything is Ferrari-themed and therefore Italian-themed. The attractions are divided into three categories: Family (for the whole family), Kids (dedicated to children) and Thrill (for those who love thrills). The names of the attractions themselves are reminiscent of Italy and Ferrari.

Attractions and entertainment

The park’s most famous attraction is undoubtedly Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster, which will give you a true Formula 1 experience, accelerating from 0 to 240 km/h in less than 5 seconds with a force of 4.8 G. You will be able to climb to a height of 52 meters and then descend at breakneck speed through chicanes inspired by the world’s most famous tracks. At Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, you can enjoy the full Ferrari experience and some very interesting shows: you will have the opportunity to experience the adrenaline and frenzy of a tire change during a race with the Tyre Change Show. You can also visit the Maranello Cinema, which takes you back to the Italy of the glorious 1920s by watching the film Coppa di Sicilia, produced exclusively for Ferrari World and inspired by the life of Enzo Ferrari, which tells the story of how his dream became a wonderful reality. You can buy Ferrari-branded gadgets at the Ferrari Store and dine at the park’s restaurants, whose names evoke Italy in a unique way: Mamma Rossella and Rosticceria Modena seek to bring a bit of Italian tradition to Abu Dhabi, while Il Podio, Ristorante Cavallino and Espresso Rosso offer international cuisine based on the tastes of the staff at Ferrari’s Maranello factory.
