Heritage Village
Managed by the Emirates Heritage Club, this recreation of a traditional oasis village offers an interesting glimpse into the emirate’s past. Traditional aspects of the desert lifestyle, including a goat-hair hut and an ancient irrigation system (falaj), are beautifully displayed in the open museum.
There are workshops where artisans demonstrate their traditional skills such as metalwork and pottery, while women weave rugs. The artisans share their skills and may occasionally invite visitors to try their techniques. You can purchase a variety of dried herbs, handmade soap and learn more about the people who work there.
Tip: for a great view of the whole city and the Corniche beach
