Dubai Marina

Dubai Marina is one of the main enclaves of Dubai. It combines residential areas with others dedicated to leisure along the canal that leads to the luxury hotels of Al Sufouh. You can also take the tramway that bears the same name as this area.

It is an artificial harbor and its design includes viewpoints to enjoy the view. In addition, it is especially beautiful at night. And on Friday afternoons, it is advisable to visit the Marina market, because you can buy gifts, clothes and jewelry.

But the best way to enjoy Dubai Marina is to walk along the Marina Walk that runs along the waterfront. Be dazzled by the lights of the skyscrapers. But if you prefer to do it along the canal and go to the sea, you can book a dinner cruise or a private yacht trip. Thus, in this area, real estate prices are high. Two-bedroom apartments start at AED 1 million (over 240,000 Euros).

The marina is indeed an ideal place for water sports enthusiasts. The Dubai International Marine Club, located next to Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, organizes competitions for almost all types of boats. In addition, it includes races for powerboats, sailboats, jet skis and dinghies. There are also parking areas at the entrance to the port, just off the busy Sheikh Zayed Road, at exit 5, where there is a cab stand.

However, the promenade, to the left and right of the entrance, is where most restaurants are located. But families invade it on weekends. So while the children play in the decorative fountains, the parents smoke shisha (water pipe) in a café.

In addition, in front of the skyline of Dubai Marina, on an artificial island, there is the world’s largest Ferris wheel. It has a height of 210 meters. Thus, Dubai has a new record.
