Museum of the future

Under construction since 2013, the museum opened on 2/22/22, the Museum of the Future is located in the Sheikh Zayed Road area, adjacent to the Emirates Tower Hotel.

The new space is housed in an iconic 30,000 square meter building, rising 77 meters above the ground, and has seven floors. Its facade is clad with 1,024 stainless steel panels designed by Killa Design and Buno Happold, decorated with quotations of poems by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Emir of Dubai, in the art of Arabic calligraphy. The shape of the building has a symbolic meaning. The circular structure represents humanity, the green part below represents the Earth and the hole in the middle represents the unknown future. The outdoor area of the museum includes a garden with 100 plant species that reflect the heritage and biodiversity of the UAE.
